Can I eat eggs if I want to be healthy?

posted Nov 13, 2018, 2:28 AM by Janene Sacks
Eggs are an economical and nutrient rich food with good quality protein along with other vitamins and minerals. Two eggs have around the same amount of kilojoules as a tub of yoghurt or a small tin of salmon. Adults can enjoy up to 7 eggs per week as a part of a healthy, balanced diet. You can think of eggs in the same way as other protein rich foods, and they are great as a quick nutritious meal or snack. Research shows eating eggs won’t affect blood cholesterol levels so everybody should include them in their healthy eating plan. A Registered Dietitian (RD) can provide tailored dietary advice for people, including great ideas on how to incorporate eggs in your healthy eating plan.
